The new year is a great time to focus on learning new knitting techniques. The more you know, the more fun you'll have!

To that end, we have a bunch of classes to help you advance your skills: Block of the Month (starts Wed Jan 17), Colorwork Afghan (starts Feb 14), and Hat of the Month (starts Mar 6), all series that slowly build in difficulty. At the end of each, you'll have a blanket or a pile of hats for gifts or to keep, not to mention a feeling that you can take on all kinds of new projects with confidence.

We're also getting our new Technique Tuesdays underway. Last week we had the Fair Isle Warm Up workshop (sold out morning and evening - it was fun!). On Jan 23 we have the Magic Loop Workshop, to get you ready for the Hat of the Month series, or just to get you comfortable using this super useful technique. It's one of the handiest skills to have in your bag of tricks.

Of course we have new project classes on the schedule already (see the Classes tab), with more ideas forming for near-future projects, KALs and workshops.

I hope you'll be able to join us to learn new skills, and for the camaraderie that makes your LYS a fun place to be.
